peter the rabbit

once upon a time there was a rabbit named peter
peter was obsessed with mittens and sweaters
but his parents thought it foolish for a naturally furred animal to wear such things

so peter ran away from home

at first he felt good about running away, but then it got cold and started to rain
so he found a bridge next to the river where he thought he could stay for a while
but little did he know a kitten named maria was already living under the bridge

peter tripped over her waking her up from a kitten nap
she said, “who are you wat do you want”
and peter replied “i am just a rabbit who likes mittens and sweaters”
she said “that is silly, you are already furred why do you need those things”
he said “forget it, do you mind if i stay here under this bridge until the rain dies down”

so they both went to sleep under the bridge,
and soon the rain turned into snow and it got very cold

maria woke up, her paws shaking 
she looked over at peter who, with his mittens and sweater, appeared to be warm and snug

so maria grabbed a shiv that she had been working on and stabbed peter in the head
stealing his mittens and sweater and throwing his stupid rabbit body into the river

she went back to sleep, very warm, very happy
